The Takedown Process
Submit a Takedown Notice
Send a DMCA-compliant notice to our designated agent with the required information listed below.
We Review Your Notice
Our team reviews the notice for completeness and validity within a reasonable timeframe.
Content is Removed
If the notice is valid, we promptly remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content.
User is Notified
The user who posted the content is notified of the removal and informed of their right to file a counter-notice.
Filing a Takedown Notice
If you believe that content on FourFork infringes your copyright, please provide our designated copyright agent with a written notice containing the following information:
- 1A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
- 2Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
- 3Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, with enough information to locate it (URL)
- 4Your contact information: address, telephone number, and email address
- 5A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
- 6A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate
Counter-Notice Procedure
If you believe your content was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice with the following information:
- 1Your physical or electronic signature
- 2Identification of the material that has been removed and the location where it appeared
- 3A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed by mistake
- 4Your name, address, and telephone number
- 5A statement consenting to jurisdiction of the federal court in your district
Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant and restore the removed content within 10–14 business days unless the complainant notifies us of legal action.
Repeat Infringer Policy
In accordance with the DMCA and applicable law, FourFork has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who are deemed to be repeat infringers.
FourFork may also, at our discretion, limit access to the platform for users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.
Misrepresentation Warning
Please note that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be liable for damages. We reserve the right to seek damages from parties who submit fraudulent DMCA notices.
