Our core principles

  • Be respectful

    Treat every member of the community with kindness and respect. Disagreements are fine — personal attacks are not.

  • Be authentic

    Share genuine experiences, honest reviews, and original or properly credited content. Authenticity builds trust.

  • Be constructive

    Feedback should help, not hurt. Constructive criticism improves recipes and helps creators grow.

  • Be safe

    Protect your own privacy and respect others’. Never share personal information without consent.

What we encourage

  • Share original recipes or clearly credit the source
  • Write honest, constructive reviews based on real experience
  • Ask questions and engage thoughtfully with other users
  • Report content that violates these guidelines
  • Respect that cooking is personal — different approaches are valid
  • Use accurate ingredient names and measurements in recipes
  • Credit inspiration when adapting or remixing another creator’s work

What is not allowed

  • Post spam, advertisements, or self-promotional content without permission
  • Harass, bully, or personally attack other community members
  • Share misleading, false, or dangerous recipe information
  • Upload content that infringes on another person’s copyright
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent bans or restrictions
  • Post offensive, discriminatory, or hateful content of any kind
  • Scrape or misuse community-generated content

Recipe quality standards

  • Accurate measurements

    Use standard units and specify ingredient forms clearly (e.g., "1 cup chopped onion").

  • Clear instructions

    Write steps that someone unfamiliar with the recipe can follow without confusion.

  • Honest attribution

    If your recipe is inspired by or adapted from another source, say so clearly.

Reporting violations

If you encounter content that violates these guidelines, please report it. Every report is reviewed by our team. You can report content directly from any recipe, comment, or profile page.

  • Harmful content

    Dangerous recipes or health misinformation

  • Harassment

    Personal attacks or targeted abuse

  • Copyright issues

    Uncredited or stolen content

  • Spam

    Unsolicited promotions or low-quality posts

Enforcement

Violations of these guidelines may result in content removal, account warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent bans depending on the severity and frequency of the offense. We aim to be fair and consistent in enforcement.

If you believe a moderation decision was made in error, you may contact us to appeal. We take all appeals seriously and review them carefully.
