Advertise where people decide what to cook

Your ad sits in the recipe grid as a card, the same shape as the recipes around it. Build one below, see where it lands, and know the price before you apply.

  • No contract. Campaigns start at 1,000 views.
  • A person reviews every ad before it runs.
  • Pay only for the views you get. Unused views come back as ad credit.

Pricing

Pay per 1,000 views

The price per 1,000 views (CPM) depends on the ad’s size and style, and the top spot on a page costs ×1.75. There’s no contract; a campaign starts at 1,000 views.

Where ads run

Four places, chosen per campaign

Recipe grids

The Recipes, Home and Cookbooks pages. Your ad sits among the recipe cards at its own size and style, with its colours and video; a cookbook’s recipe index shows it as one card. The Ingredients and Products pages show it as a sponsored line or tile.

The Chefs page

Among the chef cards on the Chefs page, at your ad’s size and style.

Recipe pages

Above and below the recipe. Here your ad shows at the size and style you chose, with its colours, and video if you use it. Phones show standard-size ads only.

Ingredient pages

Above and below an ingredient’s details, with the same sizes, styles and phone rule as recipe pages.

How it works

Apply, build, get approved, launch

  1. 1

    Apply

Tell us about your business. A person at FourFork reviews the application; you need a verified email.

  2. 2

    Build your ad

Upload images (up to 10 MB) and videos (up to 50 MB) to your library, crop them, and write your text.

  3. 3

    We review it

A person checks every ad against the guidelines below, and approves it or tells you what to change and why.

  4. 4

    Launch and pay

Choose where it runs, the position, how many views (at least 1,000) and, if you like, start and end dates. Pay by card or with ad credit.

  5. 5

    Watch it run

See views and clicks by day and by placement, and export them as CSV. Pause, resume or cancel whenever you like.

Ad guidelines

Useful in a kitchen, honest about itself

People come to FourFork to cook, so ads should help them do it. Our reviewers approve ads against these guidelines, and every ad is labelled as sponsored.

Welcome

  • Ingredients, grocery and specialty food brands
  • Cookware, appliances and kitchen tools
  • Meal kits, grocery delivery and food subscriptions
  • Restaurants, cooking classes and cookbooks
  • Local farms, markets and food makers
  • Clearly labelled promotions with real prices

Not allowed

  • Weight-loss, detox or health claims you can’t back up
  • Ads designed to look like a real recipe, a chef, or FourFork itself
  • Fake reviews, ratings or testimonials
  • Prices or discounts that aren’t real
  • Tobacco, vaping, cannabis, gambling, weapons or adult content
  • Alcohol aimed at under-age audiences
  • Political or issue advertising
  • Sound that plays without a tap, or flashing images
  • Links to a page that doesn’t match the ad, or that collect personal details without saying why

Your ads will help pay the chefs: FourFork Pro creators are getting a share of what the ads on their own recipe pages earn. Coming to FourFork Pro.

Questions

What counts as a view?
A view is counted when the whole ad is on screen (or as much of it as fits, for an ad taller than the screen). It counts each time a page shows it. Views by our own team don’t count.
How much does it cost to start?
Applying and building ads is free. A campaign is at least 1,000 views, so the smallest campaign is 1,000 views at your ad’s price, from $2.00.
When am I charged?
When you launch a campaign, which you can only do once your ad is approved. You pay by card, or with ad credit if you have it.
What happens if I pause or cancel?
Pausing stops the ad and pushes your end date back by the days it was paused. Cancelling stops it for good, and the views you didn’t use come back as ad credit, which lasts a year. A campaign that reaches its end date before its views are used gets the same: you only pay for the views you get.
Can I change a running campaign?
You can pause, resume or cancel it. To change the ad itself, duplicate it, edit the copy, and run that instead. Approved ads are locked so what runs is what was reviewed.
Can I choose where my ad appears?
Yes. Each campaign picks from recipe grids, the Chefs page, recipe pages and ingredient pages, and the top or the bottom of the page.
Do video ads play?
Yes, muted, wherever the ad runs: on their own, on hover, or on click, as you choose. Spotlight videos always play on their own. Where nothing can hover, a hover video plays on its own.
Do chefs get a share?
Not yet. FourFork Pro creators are getting 10% of what the ads on their own recipe pages earn, and the Pro page will say when it starts.
