You decide what stays free
Each recipe is one of three. You can change it any time in the recipe editor.
Free
Everyone sees the whole recipe. Any recipe can stay free, and most do.
Sold one at a time
Readers see the title, the cover photo, the times, and the cost and nutrition totals. Buying unlocks the ingredients, the method and the rest of the photos.
Subscribers only
Everyone else sees the same: the title, the cover photo, the times and the totals. Your subscribers read it in full; it isn’t sold on its own.
What you keep, and when you’re paid
FourFork keeps 10%. The card processing is ours to pay, so what you see is what you keep.

Paid as you sell
Each sale goes to your Stripe account when it happens. Stripe pays it into your bank on its own schedule, usually 2–7 days later.
Refunds
A refunded sale comes back out of your share, and the buyer loses access to that recipe.
Your details stay with Stripe
Stripe verifies who you are and holds your bank details. FourFork never sees them.
Three steps, most of them one sitting
Stripe asks for identity and tax details, so have those handy.
- 1
Upgrade and connect your bank
Free. Stripe verifies who you are and sets up where your money goes.
- 2
Set a subscription price
Optional. Choose a monthly price from $0.99 to $9.99 in your Pro dashboard, and any longer billing periods you want to offer.
- 3
Choose your paid recipes
Open any of your recipes in the editor and choose who can see it. Change it back whenever you like.
Questions
Something else? Contact us.
Does Pro cost anything?
No. Joining is free. FourFork keeps 10% of each sale and each subscription payment, and pays the card processing itself.
Which recipes can I charge for?
Your own recipes, published publicly or as unlisted. Recipes that come from a cookbook or another website always stay free.
What’s the difference between buying and subscribing?
A buyer owns one recipe for good. A subscriber reads every recipe you mark for subscribers for as long as they stay subscribed. A subscription doesn’t include the recipes you sell one at a time.
If I raise my subscription price, do current subscribers pay more?
No. Existing subscribers keep the price they signed up at; the new price is for new subscribers.
When do I get paid?
Each sale goes to your Stripe account when it happens, and Stripe pays it into your bank on its own schedule, usually 2–7 days later. Refunds come out of your share.
What happens if I stop selling?
Anyone who bought a recipe keeps it. If you leave, subscribers get 30 days’ notice and their subscriptions end at the close of the period they paid for.
Can people remix a paid recipe?
Only people who bought it, or who subscribe for a subscriber-only recipe, can remix it, and the remix links back to yours.
Are the Plus and ad shares live?
Not yet. Both are decided and on their way, with the rules shown above. This page will say when they start.
