Your Reputation Score
Updated Aug 31, 2026 · 1 min read
The number beside your profile is your reputation — a running measure of your contributions to the FourFork community.
How you earn reputation
Reputation grows when you contribute things other cooks benefit from, for example:
- Publishing recipes that people cook, save, and review well
- Writing helpful reviews after actually cooking a recipe
- Contributing real-kitchen measurements and voting on ingredient conversions
- Adding step timings and other community data that makes recipes more reliable
What it's for
Reputation signals trustworthiness. Contributions from cooks with a track record carry more weight in community data, and your score is visible on your profile as a badge of participation.
Can reputation go down?
Removed contributions and reversed actions can subtract the points they earned. There's no penalty for simply being new — everyone starts at zero and builds from there.
